Pacific Wood
Introducing the highly coveted Pacific Driftwood! This type of aquascaping wood looks like Malaysian driftwood's interesting cousin. It shares a similar texture and surface to Malaysian driftwood but with much more knots, tangles and overall character.
Driftwood can leach tannins which can cause a slight yellow or brown tint to your water. This is natural and the effects will reduce over time. Boiling or soaking the wood prior to use can decrease the tannins leaching. Great for a black water aquarium.
Pacific wood is dense and generally does not float upon initial use, but may need some time to become waterlogged.
